If your Kentucky medical marijuana doctor can confirm your condition(s) and believes medical marijuana is an appropriate treatment option, you will receive a signed certification recommending medical marijuana as part of your treatment plan.

Kentucky's medical marijuana program will launch in January 2025! People across the State of Kentucky are actively exploring how they can become a patients and obtain their medical marijuana. To obtain a medical marijuana recommendation, patients will have to find a physician licensed by the state of Kentucky, schedule an evaluation, and be identified as having one or more of the qualifying conditions to receive a recommendation.
